One of the most effective ways to study a NATED course via distance learning is to keep a routine. If you are looking to successfully complete your NATED studies, the following are effects methods to include in your study routine:
- Create a study environment
- Determine the best time to study
- Pay attention during lessons
- Get organised
- Ask for help
- Join study groups
- Take breaks
Create A Study Environment
Create an environment that is calm and uncluttered for writing and studying. In doing so, you will improve your attitude when studying, which will enable you to complete more tasks. A study environment will also limit distractions and will help you focus better, which will boost your motivation and increase your productivity.
Determine When To Study
Since NATED courses are distance learning courses, it is important to determine the best time to study. By figuring out if you are more productive in the morning, afternoon, or evening, you can schedule your studies appropriately, allowing yourself to complete a ton of work, while still having time for yourself.
Since it is possible to work and study at the same time as well, selecting an appropriate time will also enable your personal lifestyle to be unaffected by your studies.
Pay Attention During Lessons
Pay attention when tutors explain classwork and assignments, as they will simplify classes and make study material simpler for you to understand. By listening to your instructors and taking notes, you will save the hassle of needlessly going over work again.
This will save you plenty of time, and will allow you to avoid having to spend a lot of time studying and revising on your own.
Get Organised
Create a planner to stay ahead of assessments that are assigned to you. This will allow you to prioritise your work, and will ensure that you can deal with assessments before you have forgotten about them.
Staying organised will also allow you to prioritise your work, so you will be able to spend the appropriate amount of time on each necessary study.
Ask For Help
Tutors and lecturers are there to help you and ensure you do your best. If you are struggling with any topics, or need extra help before an assessment, chat to them and ask for assistance. Asking for help goes a long way with tutors, so be sure to email them, allow them to give you a call, or send them a message through our WhatsApp group.
Join Study Groups
Working with your classmates will allow you to be more engaged when learning. This will give you a chance to test your knowledge, and allow you to gain different perspectives on certain topics. Studying with others will also help boost your confidence, and will prepare you for your assessments and exams.
Take Breaks
While it is important to study as much as you can, taking breaks is just as crucial. Give yourself a break every 20 to 30 minutes while you are studying. This will help you maximise your study time, by refreshing your memory.
