A Matric Upgrade qualification is awarded by Umalusi and on an NQF level 04. This is the same as a standard matric certificate and will be viewed in the same way.
Matric Upgrade Entry Requirements
In order to start your Matric Upgrade course, you will need the following:
- Your previous matric results
- A certified copy of your ID
- To be able to read and write either in English or Afrikaans
- To be 21 years or older by the time of your final examinations
Once you have successfully completed your Matric Upgrade, your previous results will be combined with your new results. Your best marks will be presented in the form of a single matric certificate.
