Think ahead

Before you make any big decisions, you should consider questions, such as:

  • How many years will I have to study?
  • Am I ready to move away or should I rather study from home?
  • Where do I want to be in five years?

Answering all these questions will help you think about the details of your plans instead of just jumping into it.

Plan your finances

Whether you are going to study or work, you will need money. Make sure to apply for bursaries early in your matric year. You could also raise money for your studies or for other expenses, like accommodation.
